7th October:
Arrival in Kolkata.Check in to a city hotel.Optional tour of the Duraga Puja festival. Dinner and over night in Kolkata.
8th October :
A half day city site seeing of Kolkata, During the tour we also visit some of the old elite houses of the city where the festival( Durga Puja) is celebrated for more than hundred fifty years following the same traditions. Late Evening visit some popular DURGA PUJA PANDAL.O/N Kolkata.
9th October:
Last Day of Durga Puja. Morning free for personal activity. After Checking out from hotel around 12 noon,lunch and visit some elite house for SINDUR KHELA ( special ceremony invloving all ladies of the family and neighbourhood) and proceed to River side for immersion of Durga idol .After that proceed to station for take train for New Jalpaiguri. O/N at Train.
10th October:
Arrival in NJP and transfer to the hotel for wash and change and breakfast. After breakfast proceed to Pemiyangtse / Pelling in west Sikkim. Enroute lunch in Jorthang.On arrival check in to the hotel. Evening at leisure, dinner and over night in Pelling.
11th October:
After breakfast, a short walk to the Sangacholling monastery. Then proceed to Tashiding and Yuksum for a full day excursion. Lunch enroute in a local restaurant. On the way back to Pelling, visit Pemiyangtse monastery. Dinner and over night in Pelling.
12th October:
After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Gangtok. Enroute visit the Bon-po monastery of Rabangla and lunch in a local restaurant. On arrival at Gangtok check in to the hotel and evening free of your own to enjoy the charming market place of Gangtok. Dinner and over night in Gangtok.
13th October:
After breakfast, full day site seeing of Gangtok, which includes, Rumtek monastery, Center of Tibetology and the orchid garden. Lunch, Dinner and over night in Gangtok.
14th October:
After breakfast, morning excursion to Phodong monastery. Lunch in Gangtok. Afterlunch, proceed to NJP, to board the train Kanchankannya Express to Bolpur. Dinner and over night on board Kanchankannya express.
15th October:
Early morning arrival in Shantiniketan, and transfer to the hotel, check in. After leisurely breakfast, full day site seeing of Shantiniketan, the university campus, and, Sriniketan agricultural faculty and the artisanal training centre. Evening with the Bauls (the mystique singers of Bengal ). Dinner and over night in Shantiniketan.
16th October:
After breakfast, morning excursion to the villages near Bakreswar to experience production and the weaving of tasar silk, which is the main source of income for the local economy. Back to Shantiniketan for lunch. After lunch,walk tour in the tribal vllages of Shantiniketan area. Evening with tribal music and dance of the Santals. Dinner and over night in Shantiniketan.
17th October:
After breakfast checkout from the hotel and proceed to Vishnupur, enroute visit Bikna village of Dokra metal craft. On arrival at Vishnupur check in to the Vishnupur Tourist Lodge and lunch. After lunch visit the terracotta temples of Vishnupur. Dinner and over night in Vishnupur.
18th October:
After breakfast,morning excursion to Panchmura village of terracotta craft. After lunch in Vishnupur, check out from the tourist lodge and proceed to Kolkata. On arrival check in, dinner and over night in hotel in Kolkata.
19th October:
Day free for last moment shopping or,leisure. After early dinner proceed to the international airport for final departure.
